Sir,

Referring to your Circular Despatch of the 16th. May, 1912, I have the honour to forward a return showing the imports and exports of opium to and from the Colony and the opium boiled by the Government Monopoly in the Colony during the year 1915, and a copy of a minute by the Acting Superintendent of Imports and Exports explaining the method of preparing the opium, and the cause of the sales of prepared opium having exceeded the

equivalent of the 340 chests dram for boiling.

I enclose also copies of regulations made during the year regarding the price of opium sold by the Monopoly.
